Brandon Nixon

Chairman and CEO

Brandon Nixon has led Lytx since 2008, drawing upon an entrepreneurial background leading high-growth communications and technology businesses. He joined the company from ViaSat, where he was senior vice president responsible for the company’s commercial businesses.


Mark Anderson

Director

Mark joined GTCR in 2000 and is currently a managing director of the firm. He previously worked at Gracie Capital and at Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
 
Mark currently is a Director of CAMP Systems, Cision, Global Traffic Network, IQNavigator, Lytx, Mondee, Rural Broadband Investments and XIFIN. In addition, Mark was previously a director of GTCR’s past investments, Land Lease Group and Landmark Aviation, and was instrumental in other GTCR investments including Skylight Financial, Solera and Transaction Network Services.
 
Mark is active in education, serving on the board of the Chicago Foundation for Education, a non-profit organization that seeks to improve the educational experience of Chicago’s public school children. In addition, Mark is a member of the Chicago-area Jefferson Scholars Selection Committee for the University of Virginia.


Philip Canfield

Director

Phil joined GTCR in 1992 and is currently a managing director of the firm. Phil previously worked in the Corporate Finance department of Kidder, Peabody & Co. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BBA in finance with high honors from the Honors Business Program at the University of Texas.
 
Phil is co-head of the Technology, Media & Telecommunications group at GTCR and has been focused on building this area for GTCR since 1996. Phil is currently a director of Avention, Global Traffic Network, IQNavigator, Lytx, Rural Broadband Investments, and Zayo Group. Phil has played a leadership role in a number of past investments including AppNet, CellNet, DigitalNet, Solera, and Transaction Network Services.

Believing education is an important way of giving back, Phil is an active volunteer for and sponsor of the Chicago Foundation for Education, a non-profit organization that seeks to improve the educational experience of Chicago’s public school children. In addition, Phil is a member of the council at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a member of the board of trustees at the Latin School of Chicago.


Mark Dankberg

Director

Mr. Dankberg co-founded ViaSat Inc. in 1986 and has led the company's rapid growth. He has held the position of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer since inception. Under his leadership, ViaSat has consistently been one of America’s fastest growing technology companies, and has been listed on NASDAQ since 1996.
Mr. Dankberg began his career with the Collins Radio Division of Rockwell International, and at Linkabit Corp in San Diego, where he held positions in engineering, technical management and business segment management.
He earned B.S. EE and M.S. EE degrees from Rice University and is a member of the Rice University Electrical and Computer Engineering Hall of Fame.


Thomas E. Darcy

Director

Thomas Darcy has four decades of experience in finance and accounting, and is a co-founder of Tocagen Inc. (Tocagen), a biopharmaceutical company pursuing the discovery, development, and commercialization of products for the treatment of cancer.

Prior to co-founding Tocagen, Mr. Darcy served for over five years as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), a NYSE Fortune 500 science and technology company. Mr. Darcy also served as a director and chairman of the audit committee of McAfee, Inc., a NYSE company, for over three years until its sale to Intel Corporation in February of 2011.

Previously he was a partner in the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he served as the managing partner of both the West and Southwest Region Audit and Business Advisory Service Technology practices, as well as the managing partner of the San Diego office.


Stephen Jeschke

Director

Stephen joined GTCR as a vice president in 2011. Prior to joining GTCR, Stephen worked as a vice president at Bain Capital. Prior to that, he worked as an associate consultant at Bain & Company. Stephen holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS with honors in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign.

Stephen is currently a director of Avention, Lytx, and Rural Broadband Investments. He was previously a director of past GTCR investment AssuredPartners.
