Lytx introduces all-in-one ELD solution for U.S. fleets

Lytx® ELD Service streamlines Hours of Service and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reporting, helping fleets remain in compliance, while saving time and money.

SAN DIEGO — September 3, 2021 — Lytx® today announced the release of the Lytx ELD Service, an all-in-one solution to help U.S. heavy-duty vehicle operators easily manage and record Hours of Service (HOS) status and complete driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIR) electronically.

Lytx ELD Service streamlines HOS and end-to-end vehicle inspection workflows, helping clients to save time and money while meeting federal regulations and keeping their fleets productive and drivers safe.

“We understand the importance fleets place in having technologies that are simplified and streamlined,” said Rajesh Rudraradhya, Lytx executive vice president and chief technology officer. “With Lytx ELD Service, we’re giving clients an easy way to manage compliance by leveraging the same in-cab Lytx device to deliver the critical insights you need to effectively run your fleet – all in one solution.”

Lytx ELD is available as an add-on service that’s fully integrated with the SF300 DriveCam® Event Recorder. When connected to a heavy-duty vehicle engine via a J1939 ECM cable, the DriveCam can collect and consolidate data in the backend to create accurate record of duty statuses to submit and comply with the ELD mandate.

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations require electronic logging devices (ELDs) as the standard for record of duty status (RODS). Commercial drivers must account for every minute of every day, even when off duty. Drivers can easily record HOS status and complete vehicle inspections from their tablet or smartphone. The intuitive Lytx ELD app guides them through the process step-by-step. Managers can stay up-to-date on fleet compliance with real-time access to violation alerts, DVIRs, and detailed reports on driver logs and remaining hours – all within their Lytx Account.

Lytx ELD Service helps fleets to:

    • Simplify daily HOS and DVIR workflows and ensure compliance
    • Increase accuracy of records
    • Increase productivity and efficiency
    • Reduce administrative time and costs
    • Improve driver safety
    • Improve fleet maintenance and performance

“With the introduction of our ELD Service, accurately managing compliance while being able to see vehicle and driver status in real time along with supporting video all in one platform is possible with Lytx,” said Rick Walters, senior director of Lytx Compliance Services. “Streamlining these fleet needs into a single platform offers the convenience and simplicity of having one vendor and device for support, while also leveraging available data to their fullest extent.”

Lytx ELD Service is currently available in the United States.
